Located in Washington, 14 Hands is a beautiful winery that is named such as a tribute to the beautiful, wild horses that roamed with full freedom on the fields of eastern Washington. With world-class terroirs, the vineyards of 14 Hands are designed to cultivate some of the premium reds and juicy whites. These grapes (both red and white) are true representations of the rich heritage and history of this region.
Keith Kenison, who is the chief winemaker of this winery, and his team give their best to ensure that the wines reflect the true character and nature of the fruits. Manual intervention is limited to as little as possible. This is the main reason as to why 14 Hands wines are not just elegant and classy, but bold and complex as well.
The wines created here are classified into five major categories. They are Essentials, Blends, The Reserve, Vintage Series and Cans. Some popular wines in these categories are:
Essentials – Only the best of Cabernet Sauvignon, Merlot, Moscato and Chardonnay are mainly used for creating this range. These wines are fresh, fruity and great for any occasion. Apart from this Riesling, Pinot Grigio and Sauvignon Blanc are also used to make these wines.
Blends – All the blends in this range are created in such a way that they are not only special but also perfect for everyday occasions. It doesn’t fail to impress wine lovers across the globe.
The Reserve – This range of wines is created from the grapes grown in one of the premium wine-regions of Horse Heaven Hills. This is a limited range of wines, and is known for its richness and intensity. Though they are highly versatile wines, they are dominated by a certain complexity in them. Cabernet Sauvignon, Merlot, Chardonnay, Viognier, Chenin Blanc, Petit Verdot and Grenache are the main varietals used here.
