Product Notes
Clos des Fous Arenaria Aconcagua Costa Pinot Noir is a Chilean wine that derives its name from the stony soil, called Arenaria, that it grows in. Situated at an altitude of 350 meters above sea level in the Aconcagua Valley, the vineyard enjoys a unique microclimate, with cool coastal breezes and a long growing season, which give the wine its distinctive flavor profile. This Pinot Noir is aged for 12 months in French oak barrels and has a charming dark cherry color, with aromas of red berries, spice, and a hint of cedar. It is an elegant wine with a smooth, silky texture and a long, lingering finish, making it a perfect accompaniment to roasted duck, lamb, or mushroom risotto.
Tasting Notes
The nose is highly aromatic with notes of cherry, raspberry and chamomile coupled with an earthy granite character. The flavours on the palate are consistent with vibrant red fruit, refreshing acidity and a more savoury character on the finish.
