Product Notes
Domaine Pierre Luneau-Papin is a small, family-owned winery located in Muscadet, France. Their Le 'L' d'Or de Luneau is a delicious white wine made using 100% Melon de Bourgogne grapes, handpicked from the estate's 35-year-old vines. Upon the first sip, the wine's fresh and delicate aromas of citrus fruits and white peach fill the nose and palate followed by mineral notes and a crisp acidity that balances out the sweetness. The wine's full and smooth texture and its freshness make it an excellent accompaniment to a wide range of seafood and white meat dishes. The bottle's vibrant golden label references the name "Luneau" means "golden moon", highlighting the winery's long tradition of growing grapes in harmony with the lunar calendar and producing exceptional wines.
Tasting Notes
Proof that Muscadet can age. Bread/brioche, also sea air/salt smells, Muscadet is subject to Atlantic influences. On the palate the wine has a terrific saline attack, bristling acidity balanced by a real creaminess and underpinned by a taste of stones and shells.
