Product Notes

Doña Paula Paula Malbec is a rich, full-bodied wine originating from the Mendoza region of Argentina. Made from 100% Malbec grapes, this wine features a dark purple color and has an intense aroma of black fruit, vanilla, and spices. Its palate is complex and balanced, with flavors of blackberries, plums, and a hint of chocolate. The tannins are smooth and well-integrated, giving the wine a velvety texture and a long, satisfying finish. Doña Paula Paula Malbec pairs well with grilled meats, hearty stews, and strong cheeses. It is a deliciously indulgent wine that showcases the best of Argentina's winemaking traditions.

Tasting Notes

A full flavoured Malbec with sweet, spicy and intense aromas of ripe red fruits, complemented by subtle floral hints of violets. A well balanced wine with a soft and velvety texture and a rich finish.

About the Winery

Doña Paula

Dona Paula Wines was established in the year 1997 in one of the most high-potential wine areas of Argentina, the Mendoza Province. The group uses fruits produced in its own vineyards for creating terroir-worthy wines. The vineyards are located in some of the best areas in the province; therefore, there is absolutely no compromise in the quality of premium wines produced under the Dona Paula label.

The group owns 703 hectares of vineyards located in some of the best areas of the Mendoza Province. The climate, soil and terroir quality were taken into consideration by the group before it set up its vineyards in these locations.

Finca El Alto – This vineyard covers an area of 435 hectares and it is also Dona Paula’s most important vineyard. It is located in Ugarteche, Lujan de Cuyo. With warm days and fresh nights, this vineyard is ideal for growing the Malbec varietal. The clayey & loamy soil with rocks also helps in a big way.

Finca Alluvia – Located in one of the best wine areas of Argentina, Gualtallary in Tupungato, the Finca Alluvia vineyard is the tallest amongst all of Dona Paula’s group. The vines here are at an altitude of 1350m above sea level. This height, along with the mineral-rich rocky soil, helps in cultivating naturally acidic and intense Malbec varietals.

Finca Los Cerezos – Also located in the Tupungato region’s Cordon del Plata area, this vineyard is located at the base of the Andes mountain range. With the average height of the vines at 1000m above sea level, this vineyard is blessed with a mild climate & sandy-loamy soil. These conditions are ideal for cultivating the naturally acidic Sauvignon Blanc varietal.

Finca Los Indios – Located in El Cepillo in San Carlos, this vineyard is located at 1150m above sea level. The cool climate helps in growing rich-coloured Malbec with firm tannins.
