Fattoria La Valentina Pecorini Colline Pescaresi is an Italian white wine hailing from the Abruzzo region of Italy. Made from the indigenous grape variety of Pecorino, this wine is characterized by its intense floral and citrus aromas with a delicious hint of minerality. It has a crisp acidity and a lively finish that makes it a perfect pairing for seafood and fresh vegetables. The winery producing this wine, Fattoria La Valentina, is committed to creating wines with a strong sense of terroir that reflect the unique microclimate and soil characteristics of their vineyards. Overall, Pecorini Colline Pescaresi is a delightful and refreshing wine that offers a true taste of Italy.

Tasting Notes

Intense straw yellow color tone. The scent reveals fresh floral hints of hawthorn, exotic fruits like mango and papaya, honey and almost iodine notes. The palate shows a good balance, with a vivid freshness always accompanied by subtle mineral veins, which remain also in the endowment endowment.

About the Winery

Fattoria La Valentina

Located in Pescara in the central part of Italy, the La Valentina Estate overlooks the beautiful Spoltore. Sabatino and Roberto e Andrea Di Properzio established this estate in 1994. The owners were quite passionate about winemaking, and they learnt a lot through their experience working in the Saint Teresa Vineyards nearby.

The main aim of the La Valentina estate was to get recognition all over Italy and the world, for the excellent quality of DOC wines crafted in the Abruzzo region. Minimal intervention is followed at the vineyards for the wine to reflect the true and natural character of the terroirs where the fruits are grown. The team doesn’t use herbicides or desiccants to the soil, keeping the vines as natural as possible. Organic green manure is used as a natural fertilizer, and the fruits are always hand-harvested to ensure that the best quality of fruits is sent for further processing.

The popular wines from this estate are:

Bellovedere - This is a red wine made from Montepulciano d’ Abruzzo grapes grown on  the 2-hectare cru Bellovedere in the Spoltore district.

Linea Classica – This is also a red wine made from the same varietal as above. However, these grapes are grown in different parcels. The grapes for this wine are grown on the 30-hectare vineyard in the districts of  Spoltore and San Valentino e Scafa.

Binomia – This wine is made using grapes grown on the beautiful estate of Binomia. This vineyard is nicely nestled between the sea and mountains. These wines are designed to release the potential of the highly intense Montepulciano d’ Abruzzo grapes.

Since the combination of terroirs and soil is unique in the La Valentina estate, the wines created by this label are extremely intense and elegant. Today, this farm is known to be one of the most environmentally aware farms in the region of central Italy.
