About Arboleda
Arboleda, established in 1999, is a famous winery in Chile founded by Eduardo Chadwick, a Chilean vintner. The name of the wine estate translates to ‘a grove of trees.’ It serves as a tribute and acknowledgement to the Arboleda’s parcels that span over 1450 hectares of land in the native forest surrounding the vineyards.
Arboleda was a personal venture of its founder. Eduardo set up the winery as a representative of the fifth generation of the founding family of Viña Errázuriz. He also co-owns the first eminent wine of Chile, Seña, with Robert Mondavi, a famed Californian vintner. Eduardo set foot in his endeavour and project with the vision to make the most modern, pure, and sustainable wines. He wished to showcase and represent the top-quality and standards of the terroirs and vineyards in the Aconcagua Valley.
Arboleda produces superior and highly-acclaimed wines to adhere to the philosophy and wishes of its founder. The winery aims to reveal and deliver the purest expression and character of its unique parcels and terroirs through its wines. Arboleda obtains its grapes from two vineyards- Las Vertientes and Chilhué, both in the Aconcagua Valley. Both plots enjoy optimum conditions required for the growth and development of the grapevines. They receive adequate exposure to sunlight and rainfall with cooling and refreshing breezes. They promote the superior quality of the harvested grapes. On top of that, the soil of the vineyards formed over igneous extrusive and intrusive rocks in different metamorphism stages aid in the purpose.
Arboleda adopts a sustainable approach to handling its vineyards. It implies that the practices and techniques implemented in the fields do not interfere with the natural workings and functioning of the land. It, in turn, helps the winery retain and deliver the natural qualities of its terroirs in its wines.
