Product Notes
By Farr's Irrewarra Chardonnay is a fine example of the quality and elegance that can be achieved from cool climate vineyards in Victoria, Australia. The wine showcases a pale straw color, with aromas of lemon and lime, together with hints of toasted hazelnuts. On the palate, Irrewarra Chardonnay displays flavors of crisp green apple and citrus, tightly bound together with a mineral backbone of intense acidity. It has undergone wild yeast fermentation with malolactic and lees stirring; the result is a wine that is both rich and nuanced in flavor, and displays a distinct sense of place. A perfect pairing for seafood or roasted chicken dishes.
Tasting Notes
The 2019 vintage has an array of citrus aromas on the nose. The palate is complex and full with notes of white nectarine and citrus fruit, a backbone of acidity and a long, mineral finish.
