Product Notes
Chateau Capbern Saint-Estèphe is a prestigious winery located in the Saint-Estèphe appellation of Bordeaux, France. Owned by the Gasqueton family for over a century, the vineyard spans over 41 hectares and is renowned for producing rich and complex red wines. The terroir is characterized by gravelly soil, which lends structure to the wines, while the climate is mild with a maritime influence, allowing for a long growing season and optimal ripening of the grapes. The winemaking techniques are traditional, with a focus on maximizing the unique characteristics of the grapes. The resulting wines are balanced and elegant, with notes of black currant, cedar, and spice.
Tasting Notes
The sister property of Château Calon-Ségur, Château Capbern is a Cru-Bourgeois punching well above its classification. With excellent structure and intensity, it has charming cassis fruit and structured, fine-grained tannins.
