Product Notes
Chateau Villefranche is an exquisite winery located in the heart of the Sauternes region in southwest France. Known for its incomparable sweet white wines, Chateau Villefranche has a storied history dating back to the mid-19th century. The estate's winemakers use carefully selected Semillon, Sauvignon Blanc, and Muscadelle grapes, grown on some of the best terroir in the area, to produce unique and memorable vintages. The chateau is also renowned for its noble rot wine, a highly prized sweet wine, which is a product of a special type of fungus that affects the grapes during the harvest. A visit to Chateau Villefranche is a must for lovers of sweet white wine, and the estate's enchanting grounds provide visitors with a glimpse of the grandeur of the French winemaking tradition.
Tasting Notes
Regular in quality, our Sauternes is made with dominance of Semillon of a good classicism, by its golden and limpid color, by its bouquet with beautiful notes of ripe yellow fruits, quince, and honey, by its balance and its fat. It can be enjoyed from aperitif to dessert.
