Product Notes
Condado de Haza 20 Aldeas is a premium red wine hailing from the prestigious Ribera del Duero region in Spain. Crafted by the renowned Alejandro Fernández, this wine is a blend of Tempranillo and Cabernet Sauvignon grapes sourced from 20 different villages, or “aldeas”, in the region. The result is a complex and elegant wine with aromas of blackberries, plums, and hints of vanilla. On the palate, flavors of dark fruits, spices, and tobacco are balanced by silky tannins and a long, lingering finish. This wine is a testament to the expertise and dedication of the winemakers at Condado de Haza.
Tasting Notes
APPEARANCE - A clean, cherry-red colour. AROMAS - Intense aromas of ripe black fruits, such as blackberries and plums. Subtle balsamic hints come through mingling with the characteristic liquorice notes of the Tempranillo grape, followed by toasty, smoky, vanilla hints that come from the wine’s ageing in American oak barrels. PALATE - This is a powerful wine with a fleshy entry on the palate and very good balance between tannins and acidity. The mouth-feel is one of volume and abundant round tannins that fill the mouth with fruit flavour. The wine becomes smoother as it develops towards a long, pleasant finish with hints of roasted coffee beans and liquorice coming through.
