About Corte Giara
Established in 1989 in Italy’s Veneto region, the Corte Giara wine label was formed due to the partnership between the Allegrini Family and a small group of wine growers selected from Veneto. This brand uses the indigenous Veronese grapes to make classy wines. The fertile soils found in Veneto are absolutely ideal for growing this native varietal.
This label was established with the main aim to produce everyday wines that were a blend of style, tradition, elegance and international winemaking techniques. The brand wanted to attract young wine lovers, as their wines were designed with a class and crispiness too woo them.
The Corte Giara wine label enjoys huge respect in Veneto, because the Allegrini Family has a rich 400-year history in the Italian winemaking scene. The family's roots lie in Fumane di Valpolicella, as this was the place where the prestigious Azienda Agricola was established in 1854. Today, the family’s estates can be found in the Valpollicella Classico area. These cover an area of 247 acres.
The Corte Giara wine estate, Naiano, stretches across an area of 33 hectares, and is located right in the centre of Bardolino Classico. The estate is situated quite close to the morainal hills of Lake Garda, and is blessed with southern exposure. This makes it ideal for growing the native Veronese grape varietal. The eco-friendly viticultural practices followed at this estate are on par with some of the best estates in the world. Though the techniques are rooted in tradition, the team also mixes them with the newest trends to keep the quality consistently high.
Some of the popular wines of this estate are:
- Amarone Della Valpolicella DOC – Made from 70% Corvina Veronese and 30% Rondinella
- Bardolino – Made from 50% Corvina Veronese, Rondinella 35% and Molinara 15%
- Chardonnay delle Veneze – Made from 100% Chardonnay
