Located in La Seca in the Rueda Denomination of Origin, the Cuatro Rayas Winery was established in 1935. The winemakers at the winery are highly experienced and passionate, thanks to which, the winery currently produces almost 20% of the total wines produced in Rueda!

Though it is the biggest producer in Rueda, Cuatro Rayas exclusively focuses on the white wine varietal of Verdejo. La Seca is considered to be the home of the Verdejo varietal. Today, the wines created using this varietal are so famous that they are exported to many countries such as Japan, Germany, Holland, the UK, China, the USA, Mexico and the like.

The vineyards of Cuatro Rayas are quite huge as they cover an area of 2150 hectares. Verdejo is the main varietal planted here. However, you will also notice small plots dedicated to other whites such as Sauvignon Blanc, Tempranillo, Viura and Palomino Fino. The technical team spends a lot of time at the vineyards to ensure high quality of harvest of the grapes. In this expansive area, a small plot is dedicated to growing more than 100-years old vines to create full-bodied and highly flavourful Verdejo varietals. These are then used to create one of the most-loved white wine of this label, Vinedos Centenarios.

This wine is the brainchild of the master winemaker, Angel Calleja, who heads the oenology department at this winery. Calleja and his young, talented winemaking team work round the clock to ensure that they create some of the best white wines that the world has ever tasted. The team makes customised wines to cater to its national and international customers.
