Product Notes
Domaine de la Solitude Châteauneuf-du-Pape Rouge is a French wine produced in the Southern Rhône valley of France. This wine is a blend of 70% Grenache, 10% Mourvèdre, 10% Syrah and 10% Cinsault, it’s fermented in stainless steel tanks and then aged in a combination of new large oak barrels and older, used barrels for 12-14 months. This results in a medium-bodied wine that boasts aromas of cherries, raspberries, leather, and spice. On the palate, it’s fruity, juicy, and well-balanced with silky tannins, offering flavors of red fruit, sweet spices, and a hint of oak. With a long finish, it’s a wine that easily pairs with roasted meats, game, and hearty stews.
Tasting Notes
A rich and opulent wine with ripe blackcurrant aromas layered with notes of the garrigue and cistus flowers. Full bodied but with a soft texture on the palate; this wine retains the estate's characteristic elegance whilst embracing a modern style of winemaking. Ripe fruits combine with notes of cocoa and cherry and a hint of liquorice on the finish.
