Product Notes

Frescobaldi Tenuta Perano Chianti Classico DOCG is a finely crafted wine that represents the best of Italian viticulture. Made from handpicked Sangiovese grapes grown in the heart of Tuscany, this wine boasts a deep ruby color and a complex bouquet of red fruits, spicy notes, and a hint of oak. On the palate, it is fresh, harmonious, with firm tannins that evolve into a long, persistent finish. This wine is crafted to perfection, using traditional winemaking techniques that have been perfected over centuries. It pairs beautifully with classic Italian dishes like roasted meats, pasta dishes, and aged cheeses, making it a perfect choice for any occasion.

Tasting Notes

A refined and elegant Chianti Classico that delivers floral aromas along with fruity notes of wild blackberry, raspberry and cherry. Complex nuances of eucalyptus, thyme, graphite and spicy pink pepper lead to the rich, velvety palate. Intense and persistent, with a pleasant walnut note on the finish.

About the Winery

Frescobaldi

Frescobaldi is one of the most authentic Italian wines that you will find today because of its impressive 700-year-old history. This family played a vital role in the history of Florence city and has been crafting excellent Tuscan fine wines for a long time. Many centuries ago, the first Frescobaldi family members started as bankers, but then evolved to become the names behind some of the significant structures of Florence. The diversity of Tuscany is clearly visible in the Frescobaldi wine label. The family estates of Frescobaldi grow grapes and olives across Tuscany. Each and every terroir is given a lot of importance here; therefore, the product reflects the characteristics of the land where it is grown.

The diversity of the terroirs can be understood well when we study more about the seven groups of estates of this family. They are:

Perano Estate – Located right in the middle of the Chianti Classico region, this is an estate that is known for its exceptional quality of red varietals such as Sangiovese. The soil quality and climatic conditions here are of top-notch quality.

Nipozzano Estate – Located on the mountain slopes of the Chianti Rufina area, this estate has a fantastic view of the Arno River Valley. All of this adds to the unique character of the Nippozzano wines crafted here.

Pomino Estate – Located right in the middle of the Florence Mountains, the wines here have a tinge of mineral content that you cannot ignore.

Castelgiocondo Estate – Located close to Montalcino, this estate is known for its exquisite cuisine and its authentic Sangiovese grapes.

Ammiraglia Estate – Due to its proximity to the Tyrrhenian Coast, this estate located in the Maremma Estate, is known for producing wines that are fresh.

Remole – Located to the east of Florence, the Old House of Remole is the venue for the family’s historic gatherings.
