Product Notes
Gérard Bertrand Cigalus Rouge is a red wine crafted by the renowned winemaker, Gérard Bertrand, from the Languedoc region of France. The wine is made using a blend of traditional grape varieties, including Syrah, Carignan, Grenache, and Mourvèdre, and is aged for 12 to 14 months in oak barrels. The resulting wine is a deep ruby color with aromas of dark fruit, spice, and a hint of vanilla. On the palate, it is rich and full-bodied with flavors of blackberry, black cherry, and a touch of cocoa. It has firm tannins and a long, smooth finish. This wine is perfect for pairing with roasted meats or hearty stews.
Tasting Notes
Intense ruby colour with a mahogany hue. The bouquet shouts concentrated, very ripe black fruit, grilled spice and toasted oak. The palate is lush and opulent with velvety tannins. The aromas of black fruit -blackberries, black cherries and plums - reappear with a complex empyreumatic web leading into mint. The finish is long with a perfect balance. Serve at 16°C, perfect with roasted red meat, poultry "en sauce" or ripened cheeses
