Product Notes
Inglenook Winery Edizione Pennino Zinfandel is a bold and complex wine that represents the true essence of Napa Valley. The blend is named after Francis Ford Coppola’s maternal grandfather, who immigrated from Italy to America more than 100 years ago and established the family’s winemaking tradition. It is made using a combination of 90% Zinfandel, 5% Petite Sirah, and 5% Alicante Bouschet grapes grown in the family’s vineyards using sustainable practices.
On the nose, it reveals spicy and red fruit aromas. The mouthfeel is plush, with flavors of blackberry, black cherry, and blueberry. The wine boasts a lengthy finish characterized by silky tannins that complement the juicy fruit. It pairs exceptionally well with beef, lamb, and hearty pasta dishes. Inglenook Winery Edizione Pennino Zinfandel is a blend that will please the palate of any wine connoisseur seeking richness and depth in their drink.
Tasting Notes
With its vibrant violet-hued ruby color, the 2017 Edizione Pennino Zinfandel is youthful in appearance. Aromas are complex, ranging from ripe strawberry and black raspberry to warm blackberry pie, clove, and a hint of blood orange zest. The wine is velvety, generous, and round. This is a classic example of Inglenook Zinfandel.
