Product Notes
Kumeu River Rays Road Pinot Noir is a medium-bodied red wine that hails from the Kumeu region of New Zealand. This wine boasts aromas of dark fruits such as black cherry, raspberry and blackcurrant that perfectly complement the subtle smoky and spicy notes that come from its 11 months ageing in new oak barrels. On the palate, the wine opens with a complex mix of cherries and berries which is followed by hints of cloves and cinnamon. The finish is lengthy, intertwined with silky tannins that leave the palate feeling refreshed. With its balanced tannins and rich fruit flavours, this Pinot Noir pairs well with grilled meat, roasted vegetables and hearty pasta dishes. It is a well-crafted wine that is perfect for seasoned wine enthusiasts, yet approachable enough for those seeking a delicious and satisfying wine.
Tasting Notes
Wine is bright, fragrant with ripe cherry and other red-fruit aromas. The palate is supple, deceptively concentrated with a distinctive limestone edge. It is delicious now, and we have no doubt that this complex wine will enhance further with bottle age.
