Massolino Barolo `Parafada` is a top-notch wine that boasts of a complex and distinctive character. This bottle of red wine is named after the single vineyard from which the grapes are sourced - Parafada. The vineyard is situated in the prized cru of Serralunga d'Alba and is renowned for its steep slopes, calcareous marl, and sandstone soils that bestow the wines with unique characteristics. The wine is made from the Nebbiolo grape variety and aged for eighteen months in French oak barrels. The result is a wine with a deep ruby-red color and an intense aroma of ripe fruit, leather, spice, and floral notes. The palate is mouth-filling, structured, and persistent, with a tannic backbone that promises to develop further on aging.
