Product Notes
Peter Lehmann Very Special Vineyard 1885 Barossa Valley Shiraz is a highly acclaimed red wine that exudes complexity and elegance. This vintage is made from vineyards that are over 130 years old, which is reflected in its depth and richness. With a dark red color, the wine has a full-bodied structure, and a bouquet of dark berries, cinnamon, and peppery spices. On the palate, it delivers a wonderful balance of sweet and savory flavors, with notes of blackberry, dark chocolate, and crushed herbs. Tannins are firm and well-integrated, leading into a long and persistent finish. This wine is best served with hearty beef dishes or matured cheeses.
Tasting Notes
Deep ruby-purple in colour. On the nose, aromas of dark plum, chocolate and menthol abound, with a subtle toasty oak complexity lingering in the background. The palate is full bodied and opulent, but finishes with typically elegant ‘1885’ tannin structure. The perfect balance of power and grace that is characteristic of old vine Barossa Shiraz.
