Product Notes
Stag's Leap Wine Cellars is one of the most iconic producers of Cabernet Sauvignon in Napa Valley, and their Cask 23 is a true masterpiece. This wine is made from a blend of Cabernet Sauvignon from their two finest estate vineyards, Fay and SLV. The grapes undergo a meticulous selection process to ensure only the highest quality fruit is used. The wine is then aged for 21 months in 100% new French oak barrels, married together, and re-barreled for an additional 6 months before being bottled. The result is a wine with a deep, intense red color, with aromas of blackcurrant, licorice, and tobacco. On the palate, it is rich and complex, with firm tannins that lead into a long, smooth finish. This is a wine that will continue to age gracefully for decades to come.
Tasting Notes
Cabernet Sauvignon grapes from two top vineyards make for a wine spilling over with dark berries and strawberries and fragrant with cedar, cocoa and spice, with a trace of white truffle on the finish.
