Product Notes
Tablas Creek Vineyard Patelin de Tablas Rouge is a unique blend of Mediterranean grape varieties. It is a luscious and complex wine that truly captures the essence of the region where it is grown, Paso Robles, California. The wine is made with Syrah, Grenache, Mourvèdre, and Counoise which are hand harvested and fermented using traditional techniques. The bouquet of this wine includes aromas of black cherry, tar, and hints of leather. The palate is plum-driven, full-bodied, with notes of black licorice, dark chocolate, and a hint of roasted coffee. The wine is well balanced with an elegant, lingering finish. It pairs well with grilled meats, pasta dishes, and hearty stews.
Tasting Notes
A dark, spicy Syrah-driven nose reminiscent of Cornas: teriyaki, black olive, eucalyptus and black plum. On the palate, meaty and juicy, with flavors of soy marinade, black raspberry, wood smoke and white pepper. The long, gently tannic finish lingers with black fruit and spice. Delicious now, but with the substance and balance to age for up to a decade
