Product Notes

The Thelema Sutherland Chardonnay is a crisp and refreshing white wine that is perfect for any occasion. This bright, straw-colored wine offers a complex aroma of ripe citrus fruit, green apple, and a subtle hint of vanilla. On the palate, it is lively and refreshing, with notes of lemon zest, grapefruit, and a touch of oak. It has a well-balanced acidity and a clean, lingering finish. This wine is made from grapes that are carefully hand-selected from the finest vineyards in the Western Cape of South Africa. It is an ideal accompaniment to seafood, creamy pasta dishes, and salads. Enjoy this elegant and refined vintage with friends and loved ones.

Cream, butter and vanilla in the mouth and citrus on the nose, with a touch of iodine keeping things interesting.

About the Winery

Thelema

The family-owned Thelema Mountain Vineyards are located in the highly wine-rich area of Stellenbosch in South Africa. Thelema wines and Sutherland wines are created from the grapes produced at these vineyards. The Thelema vineyards are located towards the south east of Simonsberg Mountain at an altitude of about 530m above sea level. This altitude enables in growing high quality and premium grapes.

Cabernet Sauvignon is the main grape varietal found here.  It wouldn’t be wrong to say that the quality of this grape varietal has put the Stellenbosch area on the international platform. The first wine under the Thelema label was released during 1988 and became an instant sell-out within a month. The area in and around Thelema is so rich in beauty and natural resources that it is considered as one of the most beautiful places on earth by wine experts.
