Product Notes
Victoria Park Chardonnay is a white wine made from 100% Chardonnay grapes that are grown in the Adelaide Hills of South Australia. Crafted by winemaker Steve Flamsteed, this wine exhibits a complex and elegant character that is indicative of the cool climate region in which it is cultivated. The nose delivers crisp aromas of green apple, pear and citrus, while the palate reveals flavours of grapefruit, almond and a subtle hint of oak. Victoria Park Chardonnay offers a refreshing acidity and a long, clean finish that is perfect for pairing with a variety of seafood dishes or simply enjoyed on its own.
Tasting Notes
Pale straw green. Aromas of fresh cut peach flesh with accents of wild honey and hints of lemon myrtle. These are supported by fig and cinnamon spice complexities from wild fermentation. Medium bodied, layers of flavour build across the palate that reflect not only the fruit but the use of wild fermentation and ageing on yeast lees. On the palate the slightest hint of oak comes through as a hint of cinnamon and spice, highlighting the complexity derived from barrel matured reserve wine. Balanced acidity gives the wine thrust through to the refreshing finish.
