Product Notes
Vina Montes Taita Marchigüe Vineyard is located in the Colchagua Valley of Chile, a region known for producing some of the country's finest wine. The vineyard is named after Aurelio Montes Senior, who is affectionately referred to as Taita, meaning father in the local indigenous language. This vineyard is particularly special as it is home to old vines that date back to the early 1900s, contributing to the complexity and depth of the wines produced here. Along with the traditional winemaking techniques used, the vineyard also features state-of-the-art technology, resulting in a perfect balance between tradition and innovation. Vina Montes Taita Marchigüe Vineyard produces exceptional Cabernet Sauvignon, Merlot, Carmenere, and Syrah wines that truly showcase the unique terroir of the Colchagua Valley.
Tasting Notes
Taita is highly perfumed, with ample aromas of ripe red and black berries, jam, and sweet spices. The aromas the oak barrels are very well integrated and lend notes of toffee and nutmeg with a well-balanced touch of toast. Notes of yogurt reinforce the sweet spices. The palate is very well structured, with firm, nicely incorporated tannins that lend long-lingering breadth and support on palate.
