Product Notes
Zilliken Saarburger Riesling Trocken Alte Reben is a wine that is made from the Riesling grapes grown in the Saarburger region of Germany. These grapes are carefully tended to and harvested from old vines that are at least 30 years old, which results in a concentrated fruit flavor that is rich and complex. The wine is fermented in stainless steel tanks which preserve the subtle fruit aromas and mineral flavors. After fermentation, the wine is aged in the bottle for a few months to further develop its flavors. The Zilliken Saarburger Riesling Trocken Alte Reben is a dry wine that has a crisp acidity and a long, lingering finish. It is a great pairing for seafood, roasted poultry, and spicy Asian cuisine.
Tasting Notes
A salty sea breeze, with nuances of white lilac and white tea. The taste is herbaceous, profound, and precise, with the mouth-filling aromas of lime and white pepper that end in a mineral, almost stony finish.
