Petra is a remarkable historical city located in southern Jordan. This ancient city boasts magnificent architecture carved out of rock, dating back to the 6th century BC. Known as the "Rose City", Petra is a UNESCO World Heritage Site and attracts thousands of tourists every year. Its most prominent structure is the Treasury, a towering façade that is a famous symbol of the city. The city was a trading center in its time, serving as a hub for the spice and silk routes. Petra was also home to the Nabateans, an ancient Arab civilization who created this awe-inspiring city. Today, Petra is one of the world's best known and most astonishing archeological sites.
Tasting Notes
This wine is a brilliant ruby red colour. The nose is pronounced, displaying aromas of cherries, wild blackberries and currants, with balsamic hints reminiscent of the Mediterranean brush and notes of pepper and vanilla. The palate is full-bodied with supple and silky tannins that linger on the long finish.
