Ferrari Wines, one of the trademark wines of Italy from the Trentino region, was established in the year 1902. The founder of this label, Guilio Ferrari started this label to create wines that resembled the rich texture and quality of the champagnes of France. In 1952, Ferrari chose Bruno Lunelli, a reputed winemaker in Trento, as his successor. Today, the 3rd generation Lunelli family members continue to follow the values & philosophies created by Ferrari, with 100% dedication.
The major reason for success for Ferrari’s wines is the quality of its mountainside vineyards located in Trentino. This place is highly suited for creating exotic sparkling wines. The warm afternoons and the cool nights give a lot of character and flavour to the fruits grown here. The complexity of the soil terroirs helps in creating unique fruits that are different from other parcels. Today, these guarded mountainside vineyards are regarded as the largest area of Chardonnay vines in Italy.
The grapes for Ferrari wines are also got from Trentodoc vineyards. This is the first DOC in Italy that is dedicated to 100% Metodo Classico varietal only. The only other place in the world, where you will find a dedicated vineyard for this varietal is Champagne in France. The Trentodoc wine range has more than 40 local wine producers working on it to create almost 100 plus wines.
The Trentodoc range of Ferrari wines is made from hand-harvested Chardonnay and Pinot Noir grape to create some of the best cuvees that you have ever tasted. Here, the cuvee remains in the bottle for about 2 to 10 years, based on the type of individual wine, to give you the best experience ever in your life. The quality of these mountainside vineyards is protected by over 500 local families, who take care of all the processes right from planting till harvesting.
