Product Notes
Birichino Pétulant Naturel Malvasia Bianca is a unique sparkling white wine that is made using traditional methods that date back to the ancient times. The wine is produced from Malvasia Bianca grapes that are grown in the Cienega Valley region of California. The grapes are hand-harvested and crushed using a traditional basket press to extract the must. The wine then undergoes spontaneous fermentation in stainless steel tanks before being bottle with some residual sugar and natural yeasts to complete the fermentation in the bottle. The result is a wine with a natural effervescence that is refreshing, crisp, and aromatic with notes of stone fruit, citrus, and wildflower. It is a perfect wine to pair with seafood, light salads, and appetizers.
Tasting Notes
Limpid yellow-gold. Vibrant aromas of fresh pear, nectarine and pink grapefruit are complemented by building floral and honey flourishes. Juicy and energetic on the palate, offering sappy orchard and pit fruit flavors that are given a refreshingly bitter edge by a frisson of citrus pith. The floral nuance comes back strong on a long, gently spicy finish that leaves white peach and pear nectar notes behind
