Product Notes
Pedro Parra y Familia Pencopolitano is a Chilean family winery that is dedicated to producing high-quality, minimal intervention wines from biodynamically grown grapes. Founded by Pedro Parra, a renowned terroir expert who has consulted for wineries around the world, the winery is situated in Penco, a picturesque town in the Bio Bio Valley. The family’s vineyards are scattered throughout the region, each with unique soils and microclimates that allow for a diverse range of expressions in their wines. They prioritize a hands-on approach to viticulture, eschewing the use of artificial pesticides and herbicides and instead using natural fertilizers and biodynamic practices to nurture their vineyards. The resulting wines are elegant, complex, and reflective of their terroir.
Tasting Notes
The wine has lifted aromas and is well-balanced with vibrant acidity, red fruits and soft tannins. The minerality from the granitic soils carries through from the nose to the long finish.
