Product Notes

Sartori Pinot Grigio delle Venezie DOC is an elegant and refreshing white wine, originating from the Veneto region of Italy. This wine exudes a subtle bouquet of white flowers and ripe apple, making it an excellent aperitif or pairing with light seafood dishes. The flavor profile boasts juicy citrus fruit notes and a crisp acidity, perfectly balanced with a long and satisfying finish. The grapes are carefully handpicked and vinified using modern winemaking techniques to preserve their natural freshness and aroma. Sartori Pinot Grigio delle Venezie DOC is a perfect representation of the Italian terroir and a must-try for wine connoisseurs worldwide.

About the Winery

Sartori

All the wines from Italy are known for their class and elegance. However, when these Italian wines also have a rich history to boast about, they become wines that you ought to try out. One such historic and elegant Italian wine that we are going to see here is Sartori.

Sartori wines have been in the market for about 100 years now, but still their wines are highly popular because they create a good blend between the modern innovations and traditional winemaking techniques. The Veneto-based wine brand was established during 1898 when Pietro Sartori acquired the vineyard named Villa Maria in the Valpolicella district of Veneto.

The year 2002 proved to be quite remarkable for Sartori as the company joined Italy’s Cantina Colognola, a wonderful opportunity for it to use the 6200 acres of excellent vines in the zones of Valpolicella and Soave. As soon as it got a massive area under vines, the expert team at Sartori immediately hired the world-famous Franco Bernabei as their consultant. The partnership worked wonders for the Sartori brand, to say the least.

The Sartori Group constructed its new winery, I Saltari, in the year 2006 in Mezzane Valley, located in the east of Verona. The grapes processed at this winery are sourced from the I Saltari Vineyards that are spread across 34 hectares. If you are interested to know about the indigenous grape varietals of Italy, this is the area you need to visit. Corvina, Rondinella, Corvinone, Oseleta, Corbina and Croatina are some of the rare and not-so-rare native varietals that you will find here.

If you are interested in exploring more about the potential of this place and the richness of the wines created here, you can visit the villa as part of a wine tourism project. Don’t miss to taste the unique Amarone wine, which is created from dry grapes, when you come here!
