Product Notes
Weingut Sepp & Maria Muster Opok White is a white wine of distinctive flavors that represents the perfect blend of nature and artisanal know-how. This vibrant wine is made from 100% Sauvignon Blanc grapes grown in the Opok soil of Styria, Austria, which imparts the wine with its unmistakable character. Opok is a unique type of soil that is only found in the Styrian region, characterized by its chalky composition, which makes it perfect for cultivating high-quality grapes. The wine is fermented using natural yeast and ages in oak barrels to create a perfect balance between the acidity and fruitiness. With its refreshing minerality and delicate aromas of green fruits and citrus, Weingut Sepp & Maria Muster Opok White perfectly complements fresh seafood, salads, and light pasta dishes.
Tasting Notes
The Opok is a blend of Muster's four white grapes. Opok refers to the particularities of the soil in this part of Styria which is compact and marly. This wine is not so much aromatic as mineral with sea-shell purity. It fills the mouth whilst retaining a stoniness and just a hint of reductive smokiness.
