Product Notes

Zuccardi Aluvional Paraje Altamira Malbec is the ultimate expression of Argentine Malbec. This wine is made from grapes grown on the slopes of the Altamira region, one of the most praised terroirs in Argentina. It comes from the Zuccardi family's highest vineyards, located at 1,100 meters above sea level. The low-yield vines receive ample sunlight and cool mountain breezes, allowing them to develop rich and complex flavors. The result is a wine that exudes elegance and sophistication, with notes of black fruit, dark chocolate, and subtle hints of vanilla. It has a smooth and velvety texture with a long, lingering finish that leaves you wanting more. Zuccardi Aluvional Paraje Altamira Malbec is a true masterpiece that truly showcases the raw beauty and potential of Argentine Malbec.

Tasting Notes

Complex fruit character with notes of strawberry, cherry, and plum, complemented by fresh herbal and floral notes. A silky with a lively acidity, structured tannins, and a long finish.

About the Winery

Zuccardi

If you want to know something about Argentina's Zuccardi wine label, here is one statement that will sum up the brand for you. In the year 2020, over 500 international references, wine experts and lovers voted Zuccardi as the best winery and vineyard in South America and the world, for the 2nd consecutive year! Each country has a specific, premium and popular wine-producing spot in it. While France has Burgundy and New Zealand has Marlborough Valley to name a few, Mendoza is that premium wine region in Argentina.

Sebastian Zuccardi, along with his grandfather, Alberto Zuccardi, planted the first Zuccardi vines in a small plot in Maipu in the Mendoza region in 1963. There has been no looking back for the family ever since. Today, the Zuccardi family is known for its young, intelligent and enterprising winemaking team at the helm of the winemaking affairs. This label is known to produce some of the highest quality of wines not only in the Uco Valley, but in the world as well.

In 2008, Sebastian Zuccardi added a special Research and Development Wing in the family winery, to learn and analyse more about the terroirs. Different types of microclimates prevail in the farms or vineyards where grapes are produced for Zuccardi wines. Located in the Uco Valley, which is at the Andes Mountains' foothills in Mendoza, these vineyards enjoy the benefits of altitude, cool and dry climate throughout the year.
