Product Notes
Barbadillo Pedro Ximénez "La Cilla" is a premium fortified wine made from 100% Pedro Ximénez grapes that are sun-dried for up to two weeks prior to vinification. The result is a sweet, syrupy wine with intense flavors of dark chocolate, caramel, and raisins. Its deep, dark color and rich aroma make it a perfect after-dinner sipper, but it can also be used in cooking to add depth and complexity to dishes. The wine is aged for over ten years in oak barrels, allowing it to develop its unique character and complexity. This exquisite wine is made by Bodegas Barbadillo, one of the oldest and most respected wineries in Sanlúcar de Barrameda, Spain.
Tasting Notes
Very dark mahogany colour and aromas reminiscent of plums, raisins and chocolate against a background of noble oak. Velvety and sweet on the palate. Long finish with the predominant retro nasal aroma being that of raisins.
